In order to get recognition and endorsement from the Ministry of Tourism for support for incentives, promotions and for rating (hotel classification)a hotel owner of 3-5 star hotels is required to be a member of a hotel association i.e. MAHO. Main service MAHO provides to members :
Giving endorsement and support for application for incentives, tourism funds etc. to relevant ministries, government agencies and authorities
Taking up owners issues to the government and relevant authorities ad hoc and at various dialogues
Preferred tariff for music royalty licences with MACP and PPM/PRISM for hotels owned by members
Invitations to events, dialogues and meetings with the government, relevant authorities and various organisations
Update members on industry/business information and development
Facilitate networking with other hotel owners
